Calling on Insurance Sales Leads

Once you collect insurance sales leads you are far from being done with the process. In fact, obtaining leads is only the start. From there, you need to use your selling skills to actually close the deal. For many agents, this is the most difficult part of dealing with insurance sales leads. But of course, for others it comes quite naturally.

Now that you have insurance sales leads, you need to get in touch with the interested consumer. Do they want you to contact them via phone or email? Either way will work, and you want to make sure that you pay attention to what they want. In other words, if the consumer asks to be called on the phone, make sure that you follow these guidelines.

When communicating with a potential buyer, make sure that you are not too pushy; at least until you get a feel for them. Your job is to educate them on what you have to offer, and you want to do this without sounding too much like a salesman. Remember, this could easily scare away a buyer.

If you are turned down the first time you speak with a consumer, you should not forget about them just yet. Instead, write them in for a follow up, and make sure that you do this in a few weeks. In many cases it will take you three or more contacts in order to garner a sale.

All in all, once you obtain insurance sales leads it is then time for you to make some money. This is the fun part, so make sure that you give your all!
